Making an application

The George Alexander Foundation supports activities in Education and Environment & Conservation.

Applications must be submitted using the Application Form which may be downloaded. Please provide an email and hard copy of your application by 5 pm on the due date. Hard copies can be sent by post, courier or hand-delivered to the Foundation’s office. We do not accept faxed applications. All applications will be acknowledged by email within seven days of receipt.

 

Please note that your funding application will not be accepted if the required documentation as outlined in the application form is not included with your application.

In some cases Foundation staff will contact applicants to request further information regarding an application. Applicants will be advised of the outcome of their application in writing, by post or email.

All scholarship program applications must be discussed with the Program Manager prior to submission.

Exclusions

The George Alexander Foundation will not make grants to support:

  • academic research

  • recurrent expenditure for which no future provision is in sight.

  • capital or endowment funds established to provide a corpus for institutions.

  • retrospective expenditure

Applications must be received by email and hard copy by 5 pm on the due date.

Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications earlier rather than wait until the closing date, as a site visit may be required prior to a recommendation being made to the Board of Governors.
